Check for new entries in an existing MySQL database in a specified time interval.
This plugin checks a MySQL database for new entries in a specified time interval. You can change the variables at the beginning to adapt the plugin to your needs. I use this plugin to check, how many new entries a Snort intrusion detection sensor writes into the database in a specific time interval (e.g. 60 minutes).

At the remote host use this plugin like

command[check_entries_interval]=perl /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_entries_interval.pl

in your nrpe.cfg. Have fun with my first plugin ;-)
