check_smf
This is a very simple script that allows Nagios to check the state of an SMF service on a Solaris 10 system. It can check if a service is disabled or online.
Use //check_smf -e // to check if a service is online. The check returns an OK if it is indeed online and a CRITICAL otherwise (i.e. it is offline, disabled, etc.).
Use //check_smf -d // to check if a service is disabled. The check returns an OK if it is indeed disabled and a CRITICAL otherwise (i.e. it is online, offline, maintenance, etc.)
**Examples:**
//check_smf -e svc:/network/rarp:default//
Check if the rarp service is online.
//check_smf -d svc:/network/nis/server:default//
Check if the NIS server service is disabled.
