Nagios Plugin to test a Linux Interface for errors, promisc mode etc, designed to be run locally on machine over NRPE or similar
usage: check_linux_interface.pl [ options ]
-i --interface Interface to check (eg. eth0, eth1, bond0 etc)
-e --errors Go critical on any interface errors, collisions, interface resets etc
-d --duplex Specify duplex to expect on interface. If specified, must be one of: Full/Half
-s --speed Specify speed to expect on interface. If specified, must be one of: 10/100/1000/10000
-m --mtu Specify an MTU to expect on interface. If specified, must be 1-4 digits long
-p --promisc Specify whether promiscuous mode is on or off. If specified, arg must be one of: on/off (default: off)
--short Shorten output, do not print expected values when there is a mismatch
-h --help Print description and usage options
-t --timeout Timeout in secs (default: 10)
-v --verbose Verbose mode
-V --version Print version and exit
