This plug uses nc (netcat) to connect to a 4D server port, send some jibrish and then exit. On success server name will be returned, otherwise error.

Usage: check_4D -h -p -d

Description:

This plug uses nc (netcat) to connect to a 4D server port, send some jibrish
and then exit. On success server name will be returned, otherwise error.

Output:

OK if connection works or CRITICAL if connection times out or if returned string does not match servername

Notes:

If you use this plugin make sure to keep the following in mind:

This script might kill your 4D server, make your kids cry or be the cause of WW3,
you have been warned!
