Example:

SHOUTCAST OK - Server is currently up and public.

Notes:
This plugin will attempt to open an HTTP connection with the host.
And read in the status page of the shoutcast server (index.html)
Successful connects and "Server is currently up and public."
return STATE_OK, refusals and timeouts return STATE_CRITICAL other
errors return STATE_UNKNOWN. Successful connects, and
"Server is currently down." result in STATE_WARNING.
Reviews (1)
The code is fairly straightforward, but since I needed a SC V2 monitor, I took this and tinkered with it a little.
Mine reports (in addition):
-- Source up/down
-- Peak listeners
