This plugin will use the graylog api (/api/sidecars/all) to check the status and activity of the graylog sidecars.
This plugin will use the graylog api (/api/sidecars/all) to check the status and activity of the graylog sidecars.

You can choose to give a warning when there are:
- inactive sidecars using the --inactive flag.
- sidecars with a non 0 status using the --status flag.

If you don't provide any of these option, the plugin will always report OK.

When commumication with the API is not possible, the plugin will report UNKNOWN.

Usage

usage: check_graylog_sidecars.py [-h] [-v] [-u USER] [-p PASSWORD] [-a API] [-i] [-s]

Process some integers.

optional arguments:
-h, --help show this help message and exit
-v, --verbose
-u USER, --user USER graylog username (default: admin)
-p PASSWORD, --password PASSWORD
graylog password (default: )
-a API, --api API ://:/ (default: http://127.0.0.1:9000/api)
-i, --inactive Warn when a sidecar is inactive (default: False)
-s, --status Warn when a sidecar has a non 0 status (default: False)
Example

Using a api token:

check_graylog_sidecars.py -u 123user_token123 -p token -a https://graylog.my.domain/api -s -i

Using a login:

check_graylog_sidecars.py -u monitoring_user -p super_secret -a http://127.0.0.1:9000/api -i
