Check the permissions of all files in a given directory. Good for maintaining a working app directory when package updaters randomly change ownership of files on you.

An example is that I use it for spamassassin and mimedefang. All files in /etc/mail/spamassassin all need to be defang defang.

Client:
/etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg:
command[check_mimedefang_spamassassin_ownership]=/usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_file_ownership /etc/mail/spamassassin defang defang

Server:
/etc/nagios/services.cfg:
define service{
use basic-service
service_description Spamassassin/Mimedefang File Ownership
servicegroups remote
hostgroup_name mailrelays
check_command check_nrpe!check_mimedefang_spamassassin_ownership
}
