This script checks your real-world IP address and compares it to an expected result. If the two don't match, the check returns "CRITICAL" and Nagios sends an alert containing the new IP address.

To use this plugin, you'll need to run it and provide an expected ip address as a command line argument. For Example:
./check_ext_ip 192.168.1.1
Except you wouldn't use a private IP. Instead, you would use your real-world IP address. If the result of the check matches what you specified on the command line, then the check returns "OK". If not, it returns "CRITICAL".
