Project Notes

Here is how it works:
1) All printers on your network are collected in a database
2) Once or more a day run the script with option ‘check_supplystatus’ to query via SNMP the status of the available supply (ie. toner black, toner cyan, maintenance kit, ..)
3) Once or more a week run the script with option ‘send_orders’ to prepare the order for your supplier and send the order via email
4) Logfiles are also collected in database, so there’s a function to send the „logs of the day“ with warnings or problems
5) For monitoring the consumption of your supply’s there is a option to create nagios-configfiles

At the moment it works only for selected HP-Printers (see list below).
