check-packeteer.pl sends HTTP requests to the http://www.packeteer.com Packeteer appliance to read values out of the measurement engine.
The plugin makes information available, that could only be retrieved via the webinterface. The configuration is quite simple and any variable available through the Packeteer commandline is also accessible to Nagios.
prerequisites are:
* Perl (developed and tested on Perl 5.8.0 and 5.8.8)
* perl modules:
* Digest::MD5
* LWP::UserAgent
examples for measurement values:
* in/outbound kbps
* traffic by protocol
* total tcp/udp
* detailed statistics per port/host
* http total, average/current/maximum
* http-streams like mpeg, video etc ...
* number of connections
* retransmissions
* round trip time
