Description

check_vcenter_hosts is a lightweight Nagios plugin for monitoring
ESXi hosts managed by VMware vCenter.

It checks the expected number of ESXi hosts, connection state,
and power state, and provides Nagios-compatible performance data.

The plugin supports legacy and current vCenter REST APIs and has
been tested with VMware vCenter 6.5, 7, and 8.

It uses only the Python 3 standard library and requires no
additional VMware SDK or Python packages.
