check_gwwalogon.py | v1.01 |
This python script checks whether a user can log on to a GroupWise Web Access server. You must supply the credentials of a test account with GWWA rights. The script then confirms that the logon has succeeded by comparing the title of the returned HTML page with the full name associated to the test account.
In addition to verifying server operation, the script provides the performance indicator of how long the response took to be received.
Example usage:
check_gwwalogon -a https://webmail.xyz.com -u BLOGGSJ -p abcd1234 -f "Joe Bloggs"
The script depends on the Mechanize 0.2.5 python package, which you can download from http://wwwsearch.sourceforge.net/mechanize/
Version history:
v1.00 (2014-11-12) - original release
v1.01 (2014-11-13) - stray line-breaks eliminated from script
